About Susan
Dr. Susan Quiring is an energetic etiquette and dance instructor with an unyielding commitment to educating people in the art of social dance and social graces. She has a proven ability to teach all ages and skill levels in a structured yet relaxed environment.
Susan earned her doctorate from Kansas State University, and was educated in dance at such prestigious schools as Brigham Young University, Arthur Murray and Fred Astaire Studios. She currently is a Ballroom Dance Instructor for children and adults. Her broad-based career has included an associate professorship at Texas A&M University, and twelve years as a 4-H agent and Home Economist. Her experience includes live television and radio broadcasts, a weekly newspaper column in Kansas City, and as liaison to students for social and cultural events in numerous study-abroad programs.
Dr. Quiring has taught ballroom dancing in the Bryan-College Station region for the past sixteen years, has developed dance programs for both College Station Parks and Recreation Department and Texas A&M Ballroom Dance Club. She is the operator of a social dance instruction business with a focus on both individual and group classes for all ages and levels of ability.
Her latest venture is CLASS ACT ETIQUETTE, so… Move over, Ms. Manners! Susan, creator of CLASS ACT, has taken herself from the boardroom to the dining room, delivering meaty advice for the etiquette impaired. CLASS ACT is the natural result of 25 years of hands on interaction with young people, as well as her protocol training.
Dr. Quiring's natural enthusiasm and passion for CLASS ACT create a healthy, positively structured environment where young people not only learn the outer skills of practicing good manners and respecting others, but the inner strengths of character-building and self-confidence.
